Puzzle Fundraiser Update

This is a picture of our current progress with our puzzle fundraiser so far. We have 30 puzzle pieces sponsored. Thank you so much to all of the families that have sponsored puzzle pieces. We are 2 pieces away from having the bottom complete. This puzzle fundraiser has been so much fun. Brian, Jael, and I have enjoyed sorting the pieces and putting names of the sponsors on the back. We have even created a little competition to see who can find the next piece first. We have had so many laughs all ready.

If you have read my previous posts, then you know that Jael has really made it her mission to raise as much money as possible to bring Ting li home. She is determined to score at least one goal every soccer game so she can buy more puzzle pieces. Although it has not happened yet we applaud her effort every week. She has also decided to give her weekly allowance towards the fundraiser. It was so cute, last Friday she had off of school so she spent the whole day writing a letter and creating a package filled with things she had made. In the package was all of her money she had been saving up, along with a letter stating that she wanted to give us all of her money because Ting li needed a family more than she needed the money. She wrote about how we have made a difference in her life and how much she loves and appreciates everything we have done for her. It is moments like these that you are reminded that you are doing the right things with your children. She apologized for being selfish with her money and asked that we help her not to do that anymore. The funny part was that she wanted the package to be a surprise for me so she left it on the front porch. When I came home from work I found it there. It is amazing what a blessing your children can be to you when you least expect it. We are so grateful God has given us Jael.

  2. How amazing that Jael wants to chip in to bring her friend/sister home. I am thankful everyday for the gift of our daughter. God definitely had/continues to have amazing plans for these girls brought home from China.
