USCIS Fingerprinting Appointment

I know it has been a long time since I provided an update but until now there has not been much to report. We had been doing training, gathering paperwork, completing our Home Study, and saving all the money we could. We have finally received our fingerprinting appointment from the USCIS. The appointment is on July 6th. Our adoption agency has said this is a good sign. Usuallly 2 weeks after our fingerprinting appointment we will receive approval which is the final document we need to submit our paperwork to China. Then the waiting begins for them to approve our paperwork and send us Travel Approval. The timeframe for travel is still up in the air but we estimate sometime in the fall to be traveling to adopt Ting li.

Jael is out of school for the summer and attending basketball camp and ESL summer school. She has made a good friend Ruby and plays with her quite often. She is soooo tall and looks so mature we can hardly get over the transition from when we brought her home till now.

Brian is back playing rugby again. He hopes to travel to Saranac Lake this summer at the end of July to visit his old teammates.

Brian and I are both doing the P90X program together and have seen great results thus far.

I hope everyone is well and know they are missed.

  2. Glad to hear things are moving along to bring Ting Li and Jael back together. Quite a while back, we sent some photos that a friend took of Jael in Yangzhou in 2007 to your hotmail account. We didn't hear back from you though. Did they arrive? if not, we can resend them.

Hope you are well. Dave & Eva Thompson
