We had our Fingerprinting Appointment Today

Brian and I had our fingerprinting appointment today. This was sooooo exciting! Our adoption Agency says that two weeks from today we should have our Approvals. As soon as we receive the approvals we can send our Dossier (ppwk) to the Adoption Agency and they will begin getting everything notoroized, etc. We are very close to playing the waiting game for travel approval. It is hard to belive how much time has passed since we accepted Ting Li's referral. We had hoped to have her home by now but have tried hard not to become discouraged since God's timing is always perfect. We hope to travel sometime this Fall but we are at the Mercy of China on when travel approval might come. In the meantime we pray that God keep her safe.

Jael has been busy with ESl Summer School, Brian has been working two jobs, and Trisha may get a promotion at work. Although we miss our family and friends, this move to Colorado has been a real blessing.

Tomorrow night we have a Host Family Orientation. An organization is bringing 15-17 year old students from Nanjing to stay in Broomfield, CO for 1 and 1/2 weeks. We are hosting a 16 year old girl that has chosen the American name of Paula. The students are from the foreign language school in Nanjing (which is the city we travled to and spent 1 week in when we adopted Jael). We are hoping to build relationships with the students and maybe even visit the school when we travel to adopt Ting Li. The girl we are hosting wrote us a letter that her father passed away from cancer so now it is just her and her mom. She misses her Dad alot. They arrive on Brian's birthday. It should be a fun celebration with a cook out that night. There is a few other families from our adoption group at church hosting children as well so we are looking forward to doing group activities. I guess the funniest part is that many of the students have the impression that they know what American family life is like. They have seen us in the movies of course and we shop all the time and eat lots of take out....haha
